Rabia

“I know for sure that I will achieve greatness BECAUSE I am a muslim woman and I don’t need the haters permission to do so 🙂”

Rabia is 23 years old and “LOVES practicing makeup and researching the new makeup trends!” She can easily spend 3 hours a day doing something makeup related. Rabia also loves anything and everything Trevor Noah (she also has a huge crush on him), loves hanging out inside any and all cafes, and is always looking for adventure and trying new things because she knows that there is a whole world out there for her to explore. When I asked Rabia why she thinks Muslim women are deemed oppressed she responded, “This all stems from western society pushing the notion that the western lifestyle is the ONLY lifestyle and anything beyond that is simply barbaric. We are not all the same and that is not something which should be feared, it should be celebrated as any other facet of life. To tolerate it is not the same as accepting it as a part of your reality.”

Q&A Feature:

What is your favourite quality about yourself?

I am always looking for adventure and trying new things because I know that there is a whole world out there for me to explore.

What is the best quality in someone else?

Compassion. I have met too many people who will do selfish things without realizing how it will affect me or others and the consequences of their actions end up being my loss of trust in humanity.

What is most important to you?

My family and my friends. No matter the $$ in my bank account or the # of bedrooms in my home, I am nothing without the people who have supported me through my darkest times.

What is a fun fact about you that you haven’t told me yet?

Every hour of my conscious being I am thinking about where to travel and what I would do there.
