“I definitely feel like I'm visibly Muslim. All the time I can feel eyes on me everywhere I go.”

Mulki is a 24 year old Insurance broker assistant (soon to be RIBO licensed). When she’s not at work her favourite place to be is under her covers, it’s where she comes up with the best ideas. Her favourite quality about herself is that she is so compassionate, to the point where people tell her she’s too nice. She also loves to cook and read, and funny memes on twitter make her day. When I asked Mulki what’s the biggest stereotype of Muslim women she responded, “When you're seen in a hijab people automatically underestimate you, they assume you can't speak English and you're not capable of much.” Mulki would like to instead be perceived as a strong force to be reckoned with.
